CFR Patio was founded in 2012 by father and son duo, Brian and Collin Lee.

CFR Patio was founded with a simple but powerful idea: to become a trusted resource for high-quality outdoor furniture restoration and preserve American made-quality furniture designs.
Brian Lee, a seasoned furniture designer with over 35 years of experience as engineer and furniture designer for family company OW Lee Co. Brian by extension, had admired exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design. As trends shifted in the industry, he noticed a growing problem—modern outdoor furniture was becoming increasingly disposable, with declining build quality and uninspired aesthetics.

In 2012, driven by a desire to challenge that trend, Brian launched CFR Patio alongside his then 15-year-old son and first employee, Collin Lee. What began as a father-son venture quickly grew into a passionate pursuit of excellence. From the beginning, the company was rooted in an unwavering dedication to detail, quality workmanship, and a deep respect for the legacy of well-crafted furniture.

Through restoring and reverse-engineering just about all products available in the modern outdoor furniture market - their experience refurbishing had spanned countless brands, eras, and experience working with the use of materials that had been appropriate for their time—Brian and Collin had gained rare insights into what truly makes outdoor furniture endure all through the rigorous process or refurbishing anything their clients were willing to pay for or often in other cases simply because they thought it was fun.
Through these years they had discovered that many so-called “high-end” brands, more specifically in the modern era had often fell short where it mattered most: longevity. Many "high end" brands had also once offered solutions to maintain and or restore their products while the industry's sentiment growingly became "just buy new" - This is because refurbishing furniture is not like manufacturing furniture. There are countless unknowns and it cannot be refined into a streamline approach like an assembly line, It requires problem solving, craftsmanship, and experience.
Collin and Brian want to buck this trend and revive the trend of buy quality products - Use them for life creating a company that can offer the support that consumers need to maintain their furniture through replacement parts or even the option to refinish them / replace worn materials when required.

CFR Patio added another pillar of their mission in 2019 — designing and building new furniture that looks timeless and lasts for decades. Their goal in summary: to offer elegant, sophisticated, and timeless outdoor furniture products that doesn't just match the durability of top-tier brands—but exceeds it.
Today, CFR Patio operates as a fully vertically integrated manufacturer in Pomona, California. Every part of production—from metal fabrication to upholstery—is handled under one roof by a small, but highly skilled and dedicated team. With state-of-the-art equipment, thoughtful engineering, and a commitment to modern craftsmanship, CFR Patio creates outdoor furniture that honors tradition while embracing innovation.
